The available packaged version is 2.4.1 and the version you get following these instructions is 2.6.1, so worth a little command line effort. I haven't tried with 2.4.1 so don't know if it works. I have a number of attempts to get a waterfall program working and the most promising is CubicSDR, which I can run from an AppImage.
The dongle shows up in the SDR Devices menu. I can select it and start it, but I don't see any input on CubicSDR and the waterfall is not moving.
I have an external antenna.
I don't know what I am doing.
